Most of the brands I represent are either B Corps, Fair Trade organizations, female-led or family-owned businesses. The common thread among them is a commitment to more than just profit; they all work to create a positive impact on the world.
The Fairbrother Agency is driven by the same desire to do good and to be a purpose-led business.
1% Of Revenue Donated To Charity
At least 1% of sales will be donated each year to charities. 1% of revenue is deemed to be the gold standard for charitable giving, as donations based instead on profit are highly dependent on how profit is defined and can easily be manipulated.
By using revenue, it’s much more transparent as everything is counted towards the one percent, apart from VAT (=sales tax) and currency conversion fees. It’s a model that has been long established for larger organizations by the likes of 1% For The Planet.
Donations will be made once a quarter and will equal or exceed 1% of revenue
Charities will mainly be ones I’ve previously supported or connected with, to ensure maximum effectiveness and minimal wastage of each donation.
Good Business Charter Accredited
I’m accredited by the Good Business Charter which means I adhere to responsible and ethical business practices.
For example, all suppliers have to be paid within 30 days (I usually pay within 24 hours) and I always pay my fair share of tax. Unlike most agencies, I use simple monthly rolling contracts for all customers, so they are never tied into a lengthy service contract against their will.
Free Strategy Sessions For Nonprofits
For charities and nonprofits, it’s important to have a good social media marketing strategy and it also has to be as cost effective as possible.
Each month I reserve a number of 45 minute coaching sessions which are free of charge for nonprofits. Although I specialise in paid advertising, I also have vast experience in organic social media and the wider digital marketing ecosystem, so these sessions can be used to cover any aspect of social media marketing.
